State and Local Government Technology Sales is your passion! You are a dynamic technology sales professional who combines your ability to foster meaningful partnerships with your enthusiasm for creating and executing multi-tiered Solutions. You are excited about the opportunity to tackle deadlines, coordinate technical resources and sell tailored solutions; create new offerings and services and continue to drive new levels of efficiency in our business. As a State and Local Gov’t Technology Sales person, you will be part of an integrated sales team, hunting for new CodeBlue Technology Clients. You will be responsible for increasing CodeBlue’s revenue and managing GP by generating new state and local accounts. Your focus is to uncover opportunities for municipalities, primary and higher-education, expansions, major upgrades and growth. CodeBlue is an established resource for many existing municipalities within the mid-Atlantic to get everything they need to fully operate. Your role will be to continue those relationships and grow this line of business.

Local Travel Required, Reimbursed Mileage.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prospect, cold call and develop new business relationships/customer accounts within an assigned geographic territory.
  • Experience with proven understanding of E-Rate Bidding Process, Procurement Contracts, BEAR/SLI reimbursement and other essential SLED centric business functions.
  • Manage monthly appointment activity and pipeline in CRM.
  • Provide consultation to customers regarding procurement, sourcing, renewable services and bid response.
  • Keep updated on product and industry knowledge.
  • Attend product training as required.
  • Maintain a stellar relationship with peers and the sales team from your region.

Job Qualifications:

  • Proven ability around prospecting for net new clients, cold calling, and developing new business.
  • Experience creating and executing a territory management plan.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales to State and/or Local Governments.
  • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building.
  • Possess a tenacious attitude in building new business by prospecting and networking.
  • Understanding of solution selling and creating value for business clients.
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of how to manage a sales funnel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Job Types: Full-time, Commission

Salary: $30,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
